Opening in 2027 on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Empower MD will provide primary care and functional medicine services to the local community. Utilizing the Direct Primary Care, or DPC model, patients will pay an affordable monthly membership to have direct access to our physician. With longer visits and open schedules, the doctor will have more time to spend with the patient to listen and address health concerns without feeling rushed. Comprehensive primary care visits with a focus on quality care with longer appointment times than traditional primary care models.

A holistic approach to patient evaluation and treatment. Initial visits are two hours, allowing for increased time to understand a patient’s unique history, perform personalized evaluation, and discuss a plan of care that incorporates targeted treatment based on the individual.

Annual well visits, weight management, chronic disease management, sports physicals and many other services are included in the monthly membership.

About The Doctor
Dr. Jonathan McGahee is originally from Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Exercise Science. He received an MD from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He was elected as a senior member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society while in medical school. He subsequently completed his family medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, Dr. McGahee met his wife, who is originally from Florida. During residency and for the following four years, Dr. McGahee served as an Active Duty family medicine physician and Officer in the U.S. Army. Following his transition from Active Duty service, he and his wife decided to move back to Florida permanently. Dr. McGahee and his family enjoy beach volleyball, soccer, visiting state and national parks, and giving back to the community.
